The next morning, woke up by the doctor and was shocked to see that she was my former classmate Dr Chew! What a surprise. Seems like we always meet at unpleasant times! It was one year ago I last saw her and that was because Ken had been admitted for fever induced febrile convulsions. She said that most likely Yen was shivering and not fits. I should think so, otherwise, Yen would have bitten me while I latched her on the night before. Sample of blood and urine was extracted from Yen. Took me 3 times to collect her urine sample. Whoo! The results came back that she had over 1000 white blood cells in her urine when it should have been less than 5. She had urinary tract infection. That day, the housemen and MO tried to put the plug for the antibiotics drip for her but couldn't because she was too chubby for them to find the vein. Had to call in Dr Tang to do it for her. Felt very pained to her crying for the whole morning. She was very cranky for the next few days and I didn't sleep well at all. Thankfully, at Dr Chew's suggestion, I managed to have a cot bed and could sleep beside her at night. Was only Tuesday that her fever went down. Dr Terence came and Yen really liked him a lot. She initiated making funny noises at him. So funny, and he picked her up to carry her. On Wednesday and Thursday, Yen's mood became better and she was really cooperative on Thursday morning when the nurses had to collect her urine bag. Mummy urged her to urine and she did! Ohh.... really made my day. All in all, she stayed from 4/11/07 to 8/11/07. However, there will be MCU and DMSA that she has to go for and not forgetting another 19 days of oral antibiotics! Mummy is really stressed!
